am i INSANE to think i can make all of our cakes a head of time, then have a huge assembly/ icing day on the day before the wedding?
i’m still sticking with the perricone diet, although i’m surprised at how much of it i can eat without feeling full. today i had a tuna steak, brown rice and black beans, spinach and an avacado for lunch, and i was starved by three. so i cut up a cantaloupe and ate THE ENTIRE THING. and i was still hungry by dinner.
update on the perricone diet. i’ve been doing a really lose version of this for about a week now, and i’m noticing an improvement in my skin. the only time i’m not following the diet is if i’m out to eat (once or twice a week) or invited to eat at a friend’s house. other than that, i’m sticking to chicken breast, brown rice and black beans, salon fillets, bananas, cantaloupe, spinach and cucumbers. i’ve been eating an avocado a day for 8 days straight, and i think this has affected my skin (and nails) tremendously. i’ve had no new breakouts and older breakouts are healing faster. my skin is overall smoother and brighter.
i’m kind of freaking out about the fact that i’m, um, DRESSLESS.
so i’m going to play a little game that makes me feel better.
i call it, “buy the marchesa”
it’s a game where i look at $5000 wedding gowns and imagine myself in them.
it makes me feel a little better about the fact that i’m going to walk down the aisle
dear 1920s-inspired bride,
you are so brave. how did you handle it when you told people you wanted bridesmaids in mis-matched flapper dresses and groomsmen in straw boaters, and they replied, “you want WHAT?”
